FHC Services

Friendship House Communities brings in many services to aid in improving the quality of life of our residents.

Some of the services include:

Emergency Call System - Pull Cords are located in the bathroom and bedroom of every apartment. The newer building, Friendship House North also has pull cords in the kitchen.

On-site transportation - Friendship House has a van available to take residents to doctor appointments, grocery stores, etc.

Banking - Lafayette Bank and Trust comes twice a week to cash checks, sell quarters and stamps, etc.

Storage Units - Each building has storage bins (4x4) available for rent to store those items that arent needed often such as Christmas decorations and luggage, etc.

Blood pressure checks - Local businesses come in and take blood pressure checks for the residents

Computer Lab - Each building has a computer for resident use at accessing the internet or simply typing a family member or friend a letter.

Footcare - Local doctor comes and gives footcare services

Resale Shop - On-site Resale shop is open once a month for residents to take items to for sale and then once a month for residents to shop among the large selection of used items - similar to a thrift store

Beauty Shop - On-site beauticians give hair services at a discounted rate (No tipping)

Fitness Center - Nustep and Keiser strength building equipment managed and trained by Newtone

Libraries - Each building has a library filled with books for resident enjoyment.

Recycling Program - Friendship House participates in a Recycling program. Residents are able to recycle cardboard, paper, metal, glass, batteries, etc.

Garden Spaces - There are 10x10 garden spaces available to residents on a first come first served basis.

Utilities - All utilities are included in the rent except phone and cable tv.

Security Cameras - Both Buidlings have security cameras installed throughout the common areas and all hallways.

Elevators - Both buildings have elevators
